• As the Communications Officer, my work involves media management, and relations with donors and partner organizations, developing and delivering communications resources; writing/editing, and proof-reading monthly, annual, and quarterly reports. I also manage our social media platforms including creating content, including audio and videos for the website, and social media platforms. I identify story angles, and write/edit stories of change or success stories, and provide training to staff on communications needs. I also do media mapping. My role also includes drafting press releases, organising press conferences, and visibility events. I also keep a record of media contacts. Finally, as the Communications Officer, I ensure we are deliveirng inline with our communications strategy by offering bi-anual reviews. I have been excellently delivering as a Communications Officer for close to five years now.

• I was a radio producer with BBC Media Action, producing a 15-minute factual radio series in English on technical and vocational training in South Sudan. As a radio producer, I was involved in the developement of programme ideas through brianstorm sessions. This was followed by development of programme briefs that include amongst other details, the justifiction for a specific programme topic, and the intended outcome. My role also involved script writing, audio recording and editing. I also presented the programme. Working as a Producer gave me the platform to understand difefferent cultures in South Sudan, and work with different communities. Prior to taking up the role of Radio Producer, I worked as a Community Mobilisation Volunteer within BBC Media Action where I set up community and school listening clubs, and carried out training for facilitators of these groups. I also supported in writing success stories.
